Gateways journal new themed volume for 2022, 'Urban youth: Engaging young people and their futures in African cities' is encouraging submissions that explore collaborations with those beyond the academy, as well as to feature experimental and critical methodological approaches and a variety of media, such as video, sound and mapping. A supported approach will open up the writing process to collective thought and encouragement, helmed by our guest editors from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Publication is planned for late 2022.
