The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is accepting applications for operating grants supporting early career researchers in human development, child, and youth health. This funding opportunity aims to build research capacity, generate new knowledge, and facilitate knowledge mobilization to improve health outcomes and promote equity for children, youth, and their families across Canada. Grants of up to $50,000 per year for up to three years are available, with priority funding pools for Indigenous human development, child and youth health and for equity-denied groups. Projects can span CIHR’s four research pillars (biomedical; clinical; health services; and social, cultural, environmental, and population health) and are expected to align with principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), as well as Indigenous self-determination in research where applicable. Registration Deadline: November 18, 2025. Application Deadline: December 16, 2025. For more information on eligibility, application instructions, and the tri-agency CV requirement, visit the CIHR website.
