Title: From Research to Creative Collective Action: Co-Creating Knowledge and Taking Action with Communities for Social and Policy Change
Community-based participatory action research is not simply about generating knowledge and sharing findings at the end of a project. Research itself can be a powerful process of collective learning, community organizing, creative action, social transformation, and policy change. How can we work collaboratively with communities to transform research into collective action throughout the research process? How can we work creatively with community members to challenge power imbalances, develop innovative strategies, and take collective action to influence social and political change and public policy?
