About the Event

Community-Based Research Canada's Community Conversations presents “Centering Community in Community-Based Research". In this Community Conversations series, we highlight research that exemplifies a pivotal feature of community-based research: centering community and lived experience perspectives in all aspects of the research. This series will showcase projects that have been led by community members with lived experiences of the issues being investigated, and projects that have amplified the voices and experiences of those with lived experience throughout the research process.

Community-led data practices empower and support community-led grassroots actions and initiatives. Data are valuable and we need to work together to take care of them, from the initial planning stages of a project to where it lives after the work is complete.
