Community-Based Research Canada presents “Celebrating Community-Based Research Excellence". In this E-Learning series, we will be highlighting the winners and honourary mentions from the 2025 Community-Based Research Canada Awards: Excellence in Community-Campus Research Partnership, and Emerging Community-Based Researcher.


September - The National Overdose Response Service (NORS)

Lisa Morris Miller and Monty Ghosh will present on their collaboration around the National Overdose Response Service (NORS), a virtual supervised consumption service helping to ensure people do not use alone when they are using substances.  Some key points they will discuss

  • An overview of the service and the various supports they provide. 

  • A discussion on the collaboration between community and academia and how that formed

  • A review of the evidence gathered thus far around the service and outcomes seen with the program.
