Social Innovation in Northern, Rural, and Indigenous Communities

Jude Oritz and Gayle Broad from the NORDIK Institute discuss why community-driven research is more likely to lead to social transformation. The case example in this webinar is of a Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (SEE) project. This project seeks to address Northern Ontario’s social and economic challenges by encouraging a movement of social enterprise and entrepreneurship that stresses community resilience, innovation, support and mobilization.
