Josée-Anne Riverin

For over 15 years, Josée-Anne Riverin’s work has focused on rethinking traditional approaches to research, training, and knowledge mobilization, with an emphasis on building equitable and transformative partnerships.


After living and working in Chiang Mai, Delhi, and Phnom Penh, she joined the Service aux collectivités (SAC) at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2011. Early in her career, she worked on human rights issues, particularly in support of Indigenous women’s struggles.


As a Development Officer at SAC, Josée-Anne collaborates with community groups and academic partners on a wide range of issues, including social inequalities, citizen participation, Indigenous rights and issues, and environmental justice.


She holds a B.A. in International Relations and International Law and a Master’s degree in International Law (LL.M.).
